Two men entered guilty pleas Wednesday in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court.
Justin R. Hager, 31, of 84 Township Road 183, Ironton, pleaded guilty to one count of felonious assault.
Judge D. Scott Bowling sentenced him to eight years in prison but said if he stays out of trouble while he is in prison, Hager might be eligible for judicial release after serving six of the eight years.
Rodney Scott Miller, 27, whose last known address was 803 Solida Road, South Point, pleaded guilty to one count of failure to provide change of address.
Miller is a registered sex offender. By law he is required to notify the sheriff’s office if he moves.
Bowling sentenced him to three years in prison. After Miller is released from prison he must serve 200 hours of community service. Bowling denied Miller’s request for a one-week electronically monitored furlough.
A May 2 pretrial conference was scheduled for Robert Gorby, 58, of 58 Township Road 1057, Proctorville, after he was found competent to stand trial and did not meet the state requirement to use the not guilty by reason of insanity defense.
Gorby is charged with two counts of theft and one count of intimidation.
