The OUS Nature Center would like to begin a new tradition at the Wayne National Forest's Lake Vesuvius Recreation Area by inviting all of the local marching bands to have a chance to show-off their talent, as well as to enjoy Lake Vesuvius.

The Nature Center is hosting an event "School Spirit in the Woods"

featuring area marching bands. South Point High School Marching Band will perform a free public concert at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

The concert will be at the Furnace Shelter field on the hill behind the furnace ruin. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or chairs to sit on.
