PROCTORVILLE – Chandler Fulks had one win and one save and as a result the Fairland Lady Dragons had a sweep.

Fulks helped pitch the Lady Dragons to a doubleheader sweep of the Oak Hill Lady Oaks on Saturday, 10-2 and 6-3.

Fairland led 8-2 when Oak Hill scored a run in the fifth inning and had the bases loaded. Fulks came on to rack up three strike outs and shut down the Lady Oaks the rest of the way.

Fairland (4-0) had 11 hits with Jaimie Phillips going 4-4 with a triple and four runs batted in. Chelsey Stanley was 2-3 and Haley Woodall 1-3 with a triple and three RBI.

Fairland took a 3-0 lead in the first when Chelsey Stanley doubled, Phillips singled for two runs, Chloe Stanley walked and Claire Hinshaw had an RBI single.

The lead went to 5-0 in the second when Brianna Yates singled, Chelsey Stanley walked and Phillips had a two-run single.

After the Oaks got a run in the third the Lady Dragons got three in the fourth.

Anyssa Murphy singled, Chelsey Stanley reached on an error, Phillips singled and Woodall had a three-run triple.

Chelsey Stanley singled in a run in the fifth and Phillips tripled and Kerie Napier doubled for a run in the sixth.

Fulks went the distance in the second game to get the win. She struck out eight and walked one.

McKenzie Riley was 2-2 with a double and a triple and two RBI while Woodall was 2-3 with a triple and two RBI.

Oak Hill went up 2-0 in the top of the first but the Lady Dragons got a run back on a walk to Chelsea Stanley, two passed balls and a ground out.

The Lady Oaks led 3-1 in the fifth only to have Fairland get three runs in the bottom of the inning.

Phillips tripled, Riley doubled for a run, Woodall had an RBI triple and Fulks’ sacrifice bunt scored Woodall.

Two more runs scored in the sixth when Stanley reached on an error, Phillips walked, Riley tripled and Woodall singled.
