Ironton drug raid nets arrest

An Ironton man is in jail today after an early morning raid at his home.
Joshua M. Johnson, 29, of 315 N. Sixth St., was arrested and taken to the Lawrence County Jail, according to a prepared statement from the Lawrence County Prosecutor’s Office. The statement said Johnson is likely to faces numerous charges, including aggravated trafficking in drugs, trafficking in marijuana, possession of criminal tools, and drug possession.
Authorities said during the raid, officers confiscated firearms, oxycodone, xanex, marijuana, and cash.
The raid was a joint operation by Lawrence Drug And Major Crimes Task Force, Lawrence County Prosecutor’s Office, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and the Ironton Police Department.
The raid happened at 6 a.m. today.
