Sparks, Rams top Flyers

RACELAND, Ky. - Sparks for 3.

It was a familiar sound Friday night as Jameson Sparks drained seven 3-pointers as he scored 39 points to lead the Raceland Rams past the St. Joseph Flyers 96-57.

In fact, the Rams were red-hot from the 3-point line as they hit a school record 13 shots from beyond the arc. Sparks was 14 of 20 from the field.

The Flyers was led by Corey Lewis with 16 points and Ryan Staton with 11. St. Joseph had only four 3-pointers, two each by Lewis and Ryan Waginger.

Pecos Osborn had 15 points and Brandon Hatfield 11 for the Rams, 7-8.

Raceland jumped out to a 30-12 lead with its sizzling shooting and continued in the second quarter by opening up a 57-27 halftime lead.
