Snow delays closure of Proctorville bridge

PROCTORVILLE - The two-week closure of the East Huntington Bridge has been delayed until the spring because of winter weather.
The closure to allow for repairs to bridge cables was set to begin Monday but the W.Va. Department of Transportation's Division of Highways opted to delay the plans because the snow and slick driving conditions.
Meanwhile across Lawrence County, The Ohio Department of Transportation crews continued to treat state roads as snow flurries fell Saturday and the melted snow began to refreeze.
Area law enforcement agencies were kept busy responding to snowballers hitting cars, 4-wheelers in town and traffic accidents.
