"K.C. has been carrying us for awhile. He wears

a lot of hats for us," Redmen coach Marty Mills said. "What we're getting now is some support in other areas besides scoring."

Mills also offered praise for the team's two seniors, Artie Mullins and Brian Skaggs, who had seven rebounds, along with younger players Andrew Stumbo and Mark DePriest.

"We're playing better and better. All the kids want to play well and pitch in. I was real pleased with Artie Mullins and Brian Skaggs. It was nice to get a win for them in their last home game," Mills said.

"Stumbo did a nice job defensively, and Mark DePriest played well. He's become more aggressive."

Christian scored 12 points in the first quarter as the Redmen took a 14-11 lead. The Dragons were just 2 of 13 from the field in the second quarter as Rock Hill extended its lead to 22-15.

"It's been the same story all year. We took a lot of bad shots," Fairland coach Chad Belville said.

"(Defense) was the only part of the game where we executed. We got in our press and did what we were supposed to do," Belville said.

Rock Hill stretched the lead to 31-15 to begin the second half. Fairland then came back to close the gap to 36-32.

"That all comes back to focus, concentration and execution," Belville said. "Whenever Rock Hill needed to do something, they executed it and that was the difference."

Christian 10 points in the fourth.

Josh Johnson had 7 points in the third quarter.

"Josh played pretty well. He handled the ball and made some shots," Belville said.

Kyle Wise and Josh Johnson had 11 points each for the Dragons.

Fairland, 3-14 and 2-6, has now lost seven games this season by seven points.
