The Friends of Ironton will hold a volunteer meeting at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Ironton City Center in downtown Ironton to train volunteer score keepers and officials for this weekend's Gus Macker 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament.

Training is mandatory for all volunteer score keepers and officials.

Anyone interested in volunteering in this area is urged to attend.

The Ironton Gus Macker event will begin Friday afternoon with registration. Opening ceremonies begin at 8 a.m. Saturday with games scheduled throughout the day on Saturday and then on Sunday.

The tournament will bring more than 700 players to Ironton this weekend.
