An Ironton woman was found guilty of violating the terms of her community-controlled sanctions.

Following a CCS violation trial Wednesday during Lawrence County Common Pleas Court, Judge D. Scott Bowling found that Glenna Boothe, 27, of 651 Township Road 2745, Ironton, was in violation because she was discharged from the STAR community justice program. Boothe was sentenced to 17 months in prison.

Lynne Stewart, adult probation officer, testified that she received notification from STAR that Boothe had been discharged unsuccessfully for making threats of violence.

After her sentencing, her attorney Mike Gleichauf requested the court show leniency to Boothe.

Bowling replied that he would only show leniency to Boothe if she had good behavior. She may be considered for a judicial release in that case, he said.

In other cases:

Frank Todd Hill, 38, of 1097 County Road 1, South Point, admitted he violated the terms of his community-controlled sanctions. Hill was sentenced to continue his community-controlled sanctions and to successfully complete the STAR community justice program.

Corena Walker, 54, of 245 Township Road 1135, Proctorville, was re-sentenced to drug treatment for charges of complicity to aggravated trafficking in drugs.

Walker, who appeared in court in a wheelchair with a cast on her foot, was originally sentenced to STAR, but had health problems that prevented her from completing the program.

Tyler Layne, 25, of 2436 S. Fifth St., Ironton, denied he violated the terms of his community-controlled sanctions. A CCS pretrial has been set for Sept. 15.

Joey L. Wilkes, 46, of 6428 Beechmont Avenue, Cincinnati, denied he violated the terms of his community-controlled sanctions by failing to report to adult probation, and by failing to pay child support and court costs. Bond was set at $50,000 of his own recognizance. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Sept. 15.

Jason Shope, 31, of 2206 N. Fifth St. Lot 1, Ironton, denied he violated he terms of his community-controlled sanctions. A CCS trial has been scheduled for Sept. 15.

Shannon Lewis, 28, of 912 County Road 110, Ironton, denied he violated the terms of his community-controlled sanctions by testing positive for marijuana and oxycodone. Lewis argued that he had a prescription for the oxycodone, but he could not produce the prescription, Lawrence County Assistant Prosecutor Brigham Anderson said. Bowling modified Lewis’s bond to $100,000 of his own recognizance or $500,000 property and set a CCS trial for Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.

William D. French, 31, of 1577 County Road 52, Ironton, admitted to violating the terms of his community-controlled sanctions. French was sentenced to continue his community-controlled sanction and serve 28 days in jail with credit for time served.
