Junior Flyers lose
heartbreaker to HSJ
The St. Joseph Junior Flyers lost a tough 29-28 decision to the Huntington (W.Va.) St. Joseph Fighting Irish on Wednesday.
Zach McGraw and Trey Neal scored 11 points each to lead the Flyers while Brad Rist scored 6.
The Flyers host Portsmouth Notre Dame at 7 p.m. on Monday.
Jr. Pointers 8th grade
drops pair of games
The South Point Junior Pointers 8th grade boys fell 54-27 to Huntington (W.Va.) and a tough 44-42 Ohio Valley Conference decision to the Chesapeake Panthers.
Philip Kratzenberg had 12 points against Huntington and against Chesapeake. Stephen Wagoner added 10 points against Chesapeake.

The South Point Junior Pointers 7th grade boys used a big second half to beat the River Valley Raiders 48-34 in an Ohio Valley Conference game.
Seth Finnegan had 9 points, Elijah Adams 8 and Caleb Pennington 7 to lead the Junior Pointers.
