FRANKLIN FURNACE — Shooting from downtown, the Green Lady Bobcats turned on the streetlights.
Green hit 7 of 8 shots from 3-point range in the second half as they erupted for 51 and blistered the West Union Lady Dragons 74-33 Saturday.
“That’s almost unheard of,” Green coach Dale Royse said.
Elista Hall led Green’s offensive effort with 33 points. Shay Richendollar had 21 points — 15 in the second half — as she hit six 3-pointers.
Jessica Dyer had eight rebounds and Traci Elrod handed out four assists as Green improved to 9-5.
“I’m hoping we can build on this. We’re in a five-game stretch over seven days and we’ve won the first two.”
The Lady Bobcats were up 11-5 at the end of the first quarter and held a 23-16 halftime advantage.
Hall got the hot hand in the second half as she scored 22 of Green’s 28 points in the third quarter and
Green surged ahead 51-22.
