The Ironton City Council will meet in special session Wednesday to discuss and presumably pass a temporary budget for the early months of 2012.

The temporary budget must be approved by Dec. 31; the final budget must be in place by March 1.

The city council finance committee will meet at 5 p.m. Jan. to discuss the 2012 budget.

“I want to put all my cards on the table,” Mayor Rich Blankenship said. “I want to deal with every department.”

Wednesday’s meeting will immediately follow the parks and recreation meeting at 5 p.m.
