Easter egg hunt set for tonight

It is a little hard to hop when the ground is so soggy.
The Ironton Business Association will have its annual Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Bunny visit at 6 p.m. today at the Lawrence County Courthouse.
The egg hunt was originally scheduled for this past Saturday morning. It rained and organizers rescheduled it for this Saturday. But Mother Nature is threatening to be, well, a bit uncooperative.
“I looked at the weather forecasts and there’s rain in the forecast every day through Saturday,” IBA President Rich Patrick said. “We’ve never had this happen before.”
The Easter egg hunt will begin at 6 p.m., using the bank clock across the street from the courthouse. Patrick said 1,200 eggs will be hidden and children will be grouped according to age. There will be prizes.
As in previous years, the Easter Bunny will arrive on the back of the Ironton Fire Department truck. Children may have their picture made with the big white bunny after the Easter egg hunt.
