Rape, drugs among indictments

Indictments for rape, kidnapping and drugs were returned when the Lawrence County Grand Jury met last week. According to information from the office of Lawrence County Prosecutor J.B. Collier, Jr., those indicted were:
— Jeremy Stump, 32, of Huntington, W.Va., indicted on one count of illegal conveyance of a prohibited item into a detention facility. Stump was charged in late September after he showed up at the Lawrence County Jail on another charge and conviction and was discovered to have a quantity of tobacco inside a rubber glove finger hidden in his rectum.
— Naaman Lucas, 30, 710 Little Solida Road, South Point, one count each of rape of a child under the age of 13 and burglary.
— Crystal Lewis, 30, 1405 S., Fourth St., Ironton, felonious assault.
— David Craft, 38, 8130 County Road 1, South Point, abduction.
— Robert J. Wiley, 21, 8130 County Road 1, South Point, having a weapon under a disability.
— Leroy Campbell III, 26, 1921 Township Road 170, Chesapeake, one count each of grand theft of a motor vehicle and attempted grand theft of a motor vehicle, and his codefendant,
— Johnny Carter, 29, 11183 County Road 1, Chesapeake, one count each of grand theft of a motor vehicle.
— Norman Fulks II, 36, 300 Township Road 1204, Proctorville, two counts of theft and one count each of theft from the elderly and grand theft of a firearm.
— Nathan Penix, 37, 805 County Road 124, Chesapeake, theft, and his codefendant,
— Christopher Lovins, 31, 76 Private Drive 3, Chesapeake, theft.
— John Hoffman, 22, 1018 S. Fifth St., Ironton, one count each of receiving stolen property and having a weapon under a disability.
— Derek Blankenship, 22, 1097 County Road 1, South Point, one count each of misdemeanor falsification, misdemeanor resisting arrest and felony escape.
— Derrick Barker, 30, 317 Neal Ave., Ironton, receiving stolen property.
— Michael Maynard, 38, 3908 County Road 15, South Point, theft by deception. He is accused of taking money to perform work he never performed.
— Carol Banfield, 51, 368 Private Drive 2548, Ironton, one count each of illegal manufacture of drugs (methamphetamine) and possession of drugs (methamphetamine).
— Paul Abram, 26, 4719 County Road 5, Pedro, two counts of receiving stolen property and one count of misuse of a credit card.
— James Eric Lewis, 48, 1539 County Road 21, Ironton, aggravated trafficking in drugs (oxycodone).
— Brandon Dixon, 26, 2435 S. Ninth St., Ironton, sexual battery; the victim was an adult woman.
— Sondra Gayhart, 2427 S. Seventh St., Ironton, 21 counts of felony theft, 20 counts of forgery, and four counts of misdemeanor theft.
— Jordyn McLemore, 19, Verdunville, W.Va., aggravated possession of drugs (roxycodone).
— Christopher Conwell, 29, 92 Township Road 1018, South Point, two counts of criminal non-support, one a felony and one a misdemeanor.
— Russell Cox, 36, 1036 County Road 14, Pedro, two counts of criminal non-support, one a felony and one a misdemeanor.
— David Lee Shope, 37, Napoleon, six counts of criminal non-support, three felonies and one three misdemeanors.
— John M. Robinson, 31, 2891 County Road 22, Ironton, two counts of criminal non-support, one a felony and one a misdemeanor.
— Gregory S. Gannon, 27, Ironton, one count each of robbery and kidnapping. He is accused of accosting a woman at Bartram’s grocery store at Sixth and Pleasant streets last month.
The grand jury met Thursday and Friday of last week. Indictments were not returned in two cases.
