CHARLESTON, W.Va. — It was Mr. Inside and Mr. Outside.

Lancaster’s 6-foot-7 Chris McKnight scored 28 points and grabbed 15 rebounds and Ironton guard Dennis Gagai scored 18 points including four 3-pointers as the Ohio All-Stars outscored West Virginia 93-90 to split the two-game series.

Ohio lost by three points on Friday at Chesapeake, 88-85.

Josh Daniel led West Virginia with 29 points. Aaron Dobson had 12 points while Chris Long and Shannon Thomas got 11 each.

West Virginia was just 9 of 30 from the 3-point line after making 15 of 34 on Friday.

McKnight was named Ohio’s most valuable player after getting the same honor on Friday. Daniel was the West Virginia MVP.

In the girls’ game, West Virginia gained a split in the series with a 75-58 win.

The Ohio girls’ all-stars won 72-66 on Friday.

Sara Hacker of Ironton had 15 points for Ohio, which had only five players.

Jacy Schultz of Midpark led Ohio with 24 points to get MVP honors.

Amanda Peck led West Virginia with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Kayla Smith had 16 points and 16 rebounds to earn her team’s MVP award.

Jen Wolfe added 14 points and Keri Pryor 12 for West Virginia.
