Nathan Kerns might not be the next Tiger Woods, but he’s in a Woods’-like streak.

In 10 matches this season, Kerns has earned medalist honors in all but three.

Kerns was first with a 1-under par 34 on Aug. 28 at the Ironton Country Club for top honors. Seth Christian had a strong round with a 37.

On Aug. 30, Kerns again shot 1-under with a 34 and Christian carded a 39 at the Shawnee Country Club. Brad Roberts had his best round of the season with a 42 and Michael Filkins was just two strokes back at 54 as Ironton went 3-1 against the competition.

A trip to Adams County last Tuesday saw Christian just miss tying for medalist honors with a 1-over par 34, only one stroke off the winning total.

Kerns shot a 38 while Aaron Christian (41) and Michael Filkins (46) had their best rounds of the season.

Next was a trip to the tough Portsmouth Elks Country Club course where Kerns shot an even par 36 to take medalist honors against Portsmouth.

Seth Christian had another solid round with a 40 and Aaron Christian carded a 50.
