Lady Vikings get 2 volleyball wins
WILLOW WOOD – The Symmes Valley Lady Vikings downed the New Boston Lady Tigers Thursday in a Southern Ohio Conference game and swept the Chesapeake Lady Panthers on Monday.
Against New Boston, the Lady Vikings won 25-19, 25-18 and 25-22.
Emily Bowling had 16 points and 15 kills, Tiffany Bryant 19 kills and Tasha Pointers 21 points for the Lady Vikings.
The reserves won 20-25, 25-15 adn 25-17. Jennie Wilson had 18 points and Erica Corn 13.
On Monday, the Lady Vikings swept Chesapeake 25-6, 25-5, 25-6.
Tasha Pointer scored 21 points, Cassie Ingles 19 and Emily Bowling had 14 kills and six aces.
Nina Mullins scored 20 points as the Lady Vikings reserves won 25-9, 25-12.
Lady Pointers notch OVC win over CG
SOUTH POINT – The South Point Lady Pointers claimed an Ohio Valley Conference volleyball win over the Coal Grove Lady Hornets Tuesday.
Raven Blake had 14 points and Erica Leighty 11 to lead South Point.
Hat trick lifts Tigers over Flyers, 4-1
The Ironton St. Joseph Flyers lost 4-1 Monday to the New Boston Tigers.
Mike Mohr scored the hat trick for New Boston. The Flyers’ goal was scored by Ryan Schwab
with an assist from Sunni Clyse.
