BEAVER — Elista Hall and Shay Richendollar can do more than just shoot.
The Green Lady Bobcats two leading scorers turned to passing Thursday to help beat the Eastern Lady Eagles 53-48 in overtime.
Hall had 17 points plus 4 assists and Richendollar led Green with 6 assists and 8 rebounds.
“We played well. We played well as a team,” Green coach Dale Royse said.
Richendollar hit a key 3-pointer in overtime that gave Green a 2-point lead. Hall then sank two foul shots and made a nice pass to Ali Thompson for a layup as Green outscored Eastern 9-4.
Eastern went up 14-11 to start the game and led 28-22 at the break.
But Green cut the deficit to
35-31 at the end of the third quarter and Andrianne Blankenship scored 6 crucial points in the fourth quarter to help tie the game at 44-44 and force the overtime.
One key to the game was Green’s 13 offensive rebounds.
“The thing I got most pleased with is we got 13 offensive rebounds. I think we were much more aggressive,” Royse said.
Ashlee Runyon added 12 points and Heidi Tackett grabbed 7 rebounds for Green, 6-5 overall and 5-4 in the Southern Ohio Conference.
Brittany Helton scored 16 and Chelsea Howard 14 for Eastern.
