SOUTH POINT — Timothy Joseph Brown, 52, of South Point, died Thursday, Sept, 15, 2011 at Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, Ky. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, with Pastor Bryan Malott officiating. Burial will follow at Sugar Creek Cemetery, Ironton.
Timothy was born Jan. 1, 1959, in Ironton, a son of the late John and Elizabeth Brown. He was self-employed and was a member of the Sunrise Church of the Nazarene. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John, and a sister, Shirley. He is survived by his wife, Frances Bradley Lilly; four daughters, Rosie, Shawna (Mark) Nixon of Ironton, Leah Cooper (Daniel Davis) of South Point and Ruth Maria Lilly of Chesapeake; a son, Doug Lilly; two brothers, Jim of Beckley, W.Va. and Jack of Columbus; two sisters-in-law, Diane Brown of Huntington, W.Va. and Lesa Brown of Beckley, W.Va.; a special sister-in-law, Janet Gore of Coal Grove; four grandchildren, Rebecca Cooper, Anthony Cooper, Samantha Nixon and J. D. Lilly; two great-grandchildren, Faith and Stephen Alyias; and many nieces and nephews.
