Feb. 20, 1947–April 30, 2025
Patricia Lou (Albert) Mowery, daughter of the late Euxine (Mike) Eater Albert and Lewis Albert, passed away April 30, 2025, at the Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky, after a four-year battle with cancer. Patti was born on Feb. 20, 1947, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff Mowery, whom she married May 13, 1994; sons, Scott (Jenifer) Kellogg, of Ashland, Kentucky, and J.D. (Chrissy) Mowery, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; and daughter, Bethany Mowery, of Grove City.
The most important job title to her was being a loving Memom to her grandchildren, Bailee and Rylee Dickess, Lane and Logan Mowery, Korey (Elizabeth) Kellogg, Baylei Parks; and great-grandson, Myles Kellogg.
She is also survived by her sister, Suzie Hamlin; brother, Rick Albert; nephews, Chris (Lisa) Smith, Skip (Brittany) Smith and many more nieces and nephews.
Patti was a 1964 graduate of Ironton High School and attended the Huntington School of Business.
She was the owner and operator of Albert Insurance Agency for many years.
Patti was an active member of Central Christian Church and a member of Friends of Ironton and spent many hours working to better Ironton.
She was an avid Ironton Fighting Tiger fan and with her husband held season tickets for the Tigers football team for over 30 years.
Patti spent her life caring for others including four-legged ones, adopting dozens of animals in her lifetime.
She would always lend a helping hand when she saw a need.
Patti was a bright loving person that would give you the shirt off her back.
Heaven got one of the good ones and many people on this earth lost a very special person.
Rest in peace, you beautiful soul.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton, with Pastor Willie Purdee officiating. Visitation will be today from noon until the time of the service.
