Janet Pulley Murphy Leedy, 71, of South Point, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, West Virginia.
She was born Sept. 26, 1953 in Ironton, daughter of the late Everett and Mildred Abrams Pulley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Murphy; and one sister, Barbara McCall.
Janet was a graduate of South Point High School.
She retired after many years as the HR director of Madison Park – Pulley Care Center.
She is survived by her husband, William R. Leedy; one daughter, Elizabeth Langdon; three sisters, Thelma (Mike) Watters, of North Carolina, Jackie Oliver, of New Boston, and Jacinda (Tom) Albee, of South Point; one niece, Jaiden Byrd; four nephews, Paul (Amy Dever) Howard, Tony Howard, Theron (Jennifer) Watters, and Rett (Jame’) Watters; one granddaughter, Amelia Hildreth; and one brother-in-law, Ron McCall.
Funeral services will be noon Wednesday at Wallace Family Funeral Home, South Point.
Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Ironton.
Family and friends may visit from 6–8 p.m. Tuesday at Wallace Family Funeral Home, a time for shared memories and support.
