Robert Lee Bryant, 77, of Franklin Furnace, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Best Care Nursing Facility, Wheelersburg.

Robert was born Oct. 24, 1947, a son to the late Lester “Teddy” and Hattie (Hunley) Bryant.

He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, whom he married in June 1985, Sharon Kay (Hulce) Bryant, who passed away March 11, 2020.

Robert was a graduate of Dawson Bryant High School.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army, spending over a year in Vietnam.

Robert was a retired machinist for Cameron Fabricating Shop and also worked for National Mines.

He enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State Football team but loved being with his family, especially his animals.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Hart

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Ronald (Beth) Hodson, of Haverhill, and Shannon (Todd) Hammond, of Ashland, Kentucky; a sister, Carol (Jim) Matney, of Coal Grove; brother, Ernie (Kathy) Bryant, of Coal Grove; grandchildren, Kaitlin (Caleb) Clark, Dagan Abdon, Jason (Elizabeth) Hodson, Tim Jenkins and Aaron Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Kennedy Clark, Paisley Clark and Avery Clark; and several friends and family that will miss him.

Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Woodland Cemetery, (Section P), 824 Lorain St., Ironton, with Father Tene Hallahan officiating.

There will be no public visitation and Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton, is honored to assist the Bryant family during this difficult time.

Military graveside rites will be provided by American Legion Post 23, Portsmouth.
