Redmen use big 4th quarter to beat PND

PEDRO — The Rock Hill Redmen saved their best for last.
The Redmen took over in the fourth quarter to snap a tie and went on to beat the Portsmouth Notre Dame Titans 47-40 on Monday in a non-league game.
Rock Hill (4-4) held a scant 11-10 first quarter lead as Kelan Davidson scored 5 points including a 3-pointer.
Zion Boerger and Brady Davis each made a 3-pointer and scored 5 points for Notre Dame.
The Titans rallied to take a 25-22 halftime lead as Landon Barbarits and Aaryn Bradford scored 4 points each for the Titans (4-2).
Stephen Ison hit a trey and scored 5 points and Yaden Bailey scored 4 more points for the Redmen.
Rock Hill came back to tie the game at 31-all in the third quarter as Izaak Cox hit a trifecta and scored 5 points with Bailey getting 4 points.
Myles Phillips and Bradford scored 3 points each for the Titans’ total.
Next came the decisive fourth quarter as Rock Hill outscored the Titans 16-9.
Ison knocked down a pair of 3-pointers and scored 7 points as 5 different players scored.
Phillips scored 4 points for Notre Dame.
Ison scored 14 points to pace the Redmen with Bailey adding 10 and Cox 9.
Phillips had 10 points and Bradford 9 for the Titans.
