The Kiwanis 2024 Reindeer Run and Breakfast With Santa is this Saturday.

Both events will be at the Russell Middle School cafeteria opposite the entrance to Red Devil Stadium.

Registration for the Reindeer Run will start at 7 a.m. inside the cafeteria. The race will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the parking lot outside the cafeteria.

The Pancake Breakfast with Santa will run from 8 to 11 a.m. Santa will be on hand to meet the kids for those last minute wishes.

This year, all children 12 and under, accompanied by an adult, will be guests of the Kiwanis Club of East Greenup County and will eat free. Cost of breakfast for others is $6.

The menu will be all-you-can-eat pancakes served with sausage and coffee, milk and orange juice.

The Reindeer Run is a Christmas themed 5K that starts at the RMS cafeteria and goes around the school property and back to the cafeteria where runners will be Kiwanis guests for breakfast. The run is not timed.

Cost is $30 with runners receiving a long-sleeve shirt and a special Christmas ornament. Those will be mailed about 10 days after the run.
