PROCTORVILLE — Kamryn Barnitz was having a three-mendous time.

Barnitz was 9-of-19 from the 3-point line as she scored 27 points to lead the Fairland Lady Dragons to a 77-23 Ohio Valley Conference win over the Coal Grove Lady Hornets on Tuesday.

The Lady Dragons were 16-of-35 from the arc as they shot 27-of-58 overall from the field.

Fairland (2-0, 1-0) had r players in double figures as Bailey Russell scored 13 points, Ava Layne 11 and Addison Godby 10.

Jenna Anson scored 9 points for Coal Grove (1-2, 0-1).

Barnitz buried five 3-pointers in the first quarter, Bailey Russell knocked down a pair of 3-pointers and Addison Godby had 6 points as Fairland raced to a 29-9 first quarter lead.

Anson scored 7 points and Emma Lively2 for the Lady Hornets’ points.

Ava Layne, Russell and Leep scored 5 points each including a 3-pointer and Barnitz and Stella Whitley also had 3-pointers as the lead went to 50-17 at the half.

The lead grew to 64-18 after 3 quarters as Barnitz knocked down two more 3-pointers and Layne hit a trey and a foul shot.

Fairland outscored Coal Grove 9-1 in the fourth quarter as Barnitz had a trifecta.

Whitley had 9 rebounds, Godby 5, Leep 5 and Barnitz 4.

Godby had 3 steals and 4 assists while Barnitz had 5 assists and Russell 3 steals.
