On Monday, Nov. 11, 2024, the Ironton Elementary and Ironton Middle schools hosted a Veterans Day Breakfast where students honored special veterans in their lives.
Students from the Ironton Middle School student council assisted in getting food for those in need and escorted the veterans and their families to a seat.
Mrs. Crawford, the eighth-grade social studies teacher, prepared a brief film in which the students thanked the many veterans who would be in attendance.
She also had the students read a special poem in honor of the veterans.
Thereafter, as the U.S. Armed Forces Medley was played, veterans stood in for their specific branch of the military.
