Margaret Fliehman

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Margaret Elizabeth Fliehman (Dunlap), who left us on Oct. 21, 2024, at the age of 75.

She was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many.

She was born on July 28, 1949 in Ironton.

Margaret, also called Mame by friends and family alike, was the daughter of Kathryn Margaret Dunlap (Clark), of Ironton, and John James Dunlap, of Branchdale, Pennsylvania.

Margaret was preceded in death by her devoted and loving son, Jason Matthew Fliehman.

She is survived by her children, Jeremy Scott Fliehman and John Howard Fliehman; her daughter-in-law, Heather Margaret Fliehman, and her grandchildren, Savannah Marie Krum, Kathryn Margaret Fliehman, Emma Chandler Fliehman, and Everly Grace Fliehman. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Kathryn Bryant; her brother-in-law, John Edward Bryant; and many friends.

Throughout her life, Margaret dedicated herself to her family and her friends where she made a significant impact on the lives of those around her.

Margaret will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and resilience. She taught us the value of love, compassion, and perseverance.

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we take comfort in knowing that Margaret is now at peace.

We will forever cherish the moments we shared and carry her memory in our hearts.

Her legacy will live on through her grandchildren, who will carry forward her spirit, grace and unwavering kindness.

A funeral service will be noon Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton, with Bro. Jeff Cremeans officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery, 824 Lorain Street, Ironton.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Friends and family are invited to come together to celebrate her life.
