William McGlone

March 23, 1947–July 4, 2024

 

William C McGlone, 77, of Wheelersburg, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024 at Southern Ohio Medical Center, Portsmouth.

He was born March 23, 1947, a son to the late Thomas and Parthena (Boggs) McGlone and also preceded in death by his loving wife, Lydia (Kinstler) McGlone, in 2022.
William attended Blackfork Schools and was a roll operator for Union Tank Car Company in East Chicago, Indiana.

He lived life to the fullest especially when he was spending time with his family and his church family.  He enjoyed coon hunting and hunting ginseng.

He was of the Apostolic faith and attended for Living Word Tabernacle in South Point.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher McGlone; five sisters, Anna McGlone, Dorothy McGlone, Carmonelle Daniels, Sarah Murrell and Juanita Murrell; and two brothers, Dewey McGlone and James McGlone.
Those left to celebrate his life are a daughter, Mary McGlone and son, Mark McGlone, both of Wheelersburg; sister-in-law, Ethel (Bill) Stapleton; brother-in-law, John Boles; and special cousins, Elwood Middleton, Blanche McGlone, JD McGlone and Jayven McGlone.
A funeral service will be noon Saturday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, 518 S. Sixth St., Ironton, with Pastor Terry Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Buckhorn Cemetery, Decatur.

Visitation will be 11a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
