Peggy Wisenberger

July 4, 1951–June 14, 2024

 

Peggy Lynn Wisenberger, 72, of Ironton, passed away Friday, June 14, 2024, at her residence.

The Lawrence County native was born July 4, 1951, a daughter of the late Walter and Genevieve Layton Wisenberger.

Peggy was a 1969 graduate of Ironton High School and a long-time member of the First Baptist Church in Ironton.

She was a homemaker that loved to bake, work in her garden and bird watching.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Janice Wisenberger; and her brother-in-law, Ray Gesling.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Linda Gesling, of Cincinnati; and her brother, Phillip (Kathy) Wisenberger, of Bremerton, Washington.

A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Ironton at a later date.

Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
