Members of Sharon Baptist Church’s congregation took part in an annual Holy Week tradition last week.

Dozens walked through Ironton, as part of the church’s annual Good Friday Cross Walk.

The trek began at the church, located at 2010 S. Fifth St. in Ironton, with the group following those carrying the cross and proceeded to Woodland Cemetery, where it was set up in preparation for an Easter Sunday service, which took place there at sunrise.

The tradition at the church dates back to the 1970s.
