SOUTH POINT — South Point High School’s Band of Gold is planning a Christmas Extravaganza event at the high school for Saturday.

The celebration, which will take place from 8 a.m.-noon in the school’s cafeteria, will feature a breakfast, with Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and the Grinch on hand to met children, while arts and crafts will be available for purchase.

Breakfast, which is $5, will include pancakes, sausage, milk, juice and coffee. The craft fair will take place in the middle school’s gymnasium.

Music is planned from all of the district’s schools.

The schedule is as follows:

• Burlington Elementary School – 9 a.m.

• South Point Elementary School – 10 a.m.

• South Point High School/Middle schools bands– 11 a.m.

Entrance for the event will be at the school’s back doors.
