Janet Adkins

Aug. 21, 1966-May 6, 2020

 

On May 6, 2020, surrounded by her family, Janet Mae Adkins, of South Point, left this earth to join her children, Mary and Dakota, in heaven.

 

Janet was born Aug. 21, 1966, and was the daughter of Jim Harvey (Kathy), of Titusville, Florida, and Linda Lockhart, of South Point. She married Shawn Adkins, who survives, on March 21, 1992.

 

She is also survived by her children, James Adkins; Kara Lyons (Jay); and Andrew Adkins (Sara Price); and by her grandchildren, Sophie and Elijah Adkins. Janet also leaves behind her in-laws, David and Ruth Adkins, of Proctorville.

 

Janet was the rock for her family and will be forever loved by all who knew her.

 

A family service will be conducted by Hall Funeral Home with burial in Miller Cemetery.

 

 

Todd Clark

April 26, 1971–May 4, 2020

 

Todd Emery Clark, 49, of Ironton, passed away Monday, May 4, 2020, at his residence.

 

Todd was born April 26, 1971, in Ironton, a son to the late Donald and Suezanne (Henry) Clark.

 

Todd was a graduate of Symmes Valley High School and was self-employed. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Myrtle Tree Church in Arabia.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Suedawn Clark.

He is survived by seven siblings, Tim (Valerie) Clark, Wayne Clark, Brian Clark, Shawn (Melissa) Clark, Belinda (Randy) Hawks, Charles (Rhonda) Clark and Kelly Clark; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, who will miss him.

 

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

 

Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Michael Laber

Aug. 13, 1983–May 2, 2020

 

Michael A. Laber, 36, of Fayette and formerly of Ironton, died suddenly on Saturday evening, May 2, 2020, at his home in Fayette following heart surgery.

 

He was born Aug. 13, 1983 in Ironton, the son of Daniel Nelson and Teresa Laber. His father survives in Pedro and his mother survives in Ashland, Kentucky.

 

On Oct. 30, 2019, he married Katrena Lee Fryer Kill, who survives in Fayette.

Mike is survived by five children, Alexis Arnett, Maria K. Laber, Isaiah G. Laber, Temperance M. Laber and Zander C. Laber; two stepbrothers, Anthony R. Laber and Clifford E. Nelson; and his stepsister, Lynnze L. Nelson.

 

He had worked as an equipment operator at the M.T.O. Corp. in St Marys and also G.M. in Defiance.

 

He was a mechanic and enjoyed the outdoors and fishing.

Private family graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday in the Puckett Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp., Lawrence County.

Todd Boggs

 

Todd Anthony Boggs, 48, of Pedro, died Sunday, May 3, 2020, at Kings Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Kentucky.

 

Funeral service will be noon Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S, Seventh St., Ironton, with Brother Nathan Boggs officiating. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home. Burial in Buckhorn Cemetery will be held at a later date.

Morris Jenkins

 

Morris Jenkins, 90, of Pedro, died Wednesday, May 6, 2020, at his residence

 

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, 518 S. Sixth St., Ironton, with Rev. Dave Schug officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrence Furnace Cemetery with military graveside rites provided by Symmes Valley Veterans. Visitation will be 5–8 p.m. Friday and Saturday noon until time of the service at the funeral home.
