Carol Blagg

Carol Ruth Kidd Blagg, 81, of Pedro, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, at her residence.

 

Mrs. Blagg was born Oct. 6, 1938, in Pedro, a daughter to the late Joseph and Mary Ethel (Sizemore) Kidd. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Fred Samuel Blagg, on May 1, 2009.

 

Mrs. Blagg attended Bartles schools and was a homemaker. She was a very active member of Mt. Calvary Freewill Baptist Church.

 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by grandchild, Matthew Watson; a son-in-law, Gary Noel; a daughter-in-law, Maida Blagg; two brothers, Don Kidd and Gene (Teresa) Kidd and a sister, Helen Sharp

 

She is survived by eight sons, Fred Blagg, Roger Blagg, Tim (Glenda) Blagg, Larry Blagg, Jeff Blagg, Ronnie (Carrie) Blagg, Kenny (Amy Jackson Reynolds) Blagg and Stephen (Rachel) Blagg, all of Pedro; three daughters, Lynda (Roger) Watson, Debra Noel and Jane (Jeff) Phillips, all of Pedro; sister, Joann Cox, of Pedro; three brothers, Floyd (Mary) Kidd, of Ironton, Jack (Pam) Kidd and Wayne Kidd, both of Pedro; four sisters-in-law, Lynda DePriest, Betty Sayre, Wanda Blagg and Sue Blagg; twenty nine grandchildren; forty two great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews who will miss her.

 

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, State Route 93, Pedro, with Rev. Billy Ryan McFann and Rev. Jesse Sizemore officiating. Burial will follow in Blagg’s Cemetery. Visitation will be 6–8 p.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton, and Saturday noon until time of the service at the church.
