Retired Teachers Meeting

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the Ohio Lawrence County Retired Teachers has canceled their April meetings. They look forward to when they can resume their monthly meetings.

Chesapeake BOE

The Chesapeake Board of Education has canceled its regular meeting on April 20 due to the coronavirus.

Lawrence County DD Board

Lawrence County Developmental Disabilities has canceled its April board meeting.

Church Services Suspended

The New Valley Baptist Church has suspended services until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The church is located on County Road 52.

Buckeye Rural Electric

Buckeye Rural Rio Grande and Linville offices will be closed to the public until further notice. They will continue to accept phone calls and provide service to members via the drive-thru window. They only plan to meet face-to-face on an as needed basis and by appointment.

County Commissioners Meeting

The Lawrence County Commissioners meetings are now closed to the public but can be viewed on the commissioners’ Facebook page.

Planning Commission Meeting Canceled

At this time, the Lawrence County Regional Planning Commission meeting at the Giovanni’s on April 13 in Chesapeake will be cancelled due to the coronavirus.

South Point Rummage Sale

The village of South Point has postponed its annual spring rummage sale to a later date, to be announced.

Ironton Kresge Reunion Postponed

The reunion of the employees of the Ironton Kresge store has been postponed due to restaurants being closed for the coronavirus. It will be rescheduled at a later date.

Homemakers event canceled

All Lawrence County Homemakers events have been canceled until further notice.
