FRANKLIN FURNACE — The Rock Hill Redwomen seemed to have found some offense.
After leading Fairland at halftime on Thursday in a loss to the Lady Dragons, the Redwomen came back to beat the Green Lady Bobcats 60-42 on Saturday.
Rileigh Morris and Savannah Cade combined for 33 points to lead the Redwomen (3-9). Morris had 17 points and Cade hit four 3-pointers as she scored 16 points.
MaKenzie Hanshaw was in double figures with 12 points and Lucy Simpson added 8 points to the winning effort.
Anna Knapp paced the Lady Bobcats as she tied for game high-point honors with 17. Kasey Kimbler scored 14 as only four Green players reached the scoring column.
Cade hit a pair of trifectas and scored 8 points while Morris and Hanshaw combined for 9 more to give Rock Hill a 17-5 first quarter lead.
Green (7-4) got its offense going in the second quarter with Knapp making three baskets, Kimber hit a 3-pointer and was 6-of-6 at the line for 9 points and Kim Brown had 4 points as the Lady Bobcats cut the deficit to 31-24 at the half.
Morris hit a trey and scored 5 points while Hanshaw had 4 more points as Rock Hill held onto the lead.
Rock Hill’s defense held Green to 4 points in the third quarter — all by Kame Sweeney — and Cade had two more 3-pointers and MaKayla Scott also hit a triple as the grew to 44-28.
Both teams continued the scoring in the fourth quarter as Rock Hill outscored Green 16-14.
Simpson scored 7 of her points, Hanshaw had 4 points and Morris was 4-of6 at the line.
Knapp got the hot hand with a pair of 3-pointers as she scored 9 points while Kimbler hit a 3-pointer and scored 5 more points.
On Monday, Rock Hill host Gallipolis and Green entertains Portsmouth Clay.
