SOUTH POINT — The Hutton Wayfarer Gallery will celebrate its one-year anniversary today and the public is invited to attend a reception.
Co-founded by retired Marshall University fine arts professor Robert Hutton and his wife, Robin, the gallery launched on Dec. 27, 2017 and contains works from Hutton’s more than five decades as an artist and hosts regular shows from visiting artists.
Robin said a reception will take place from 2-5 p.m. and all of the rooms will feature 2-D and 3-D work from Hutton, including some never-exhibited works.
She said visitors will also get to take part in a game where they can title artwork in the gallery’s Cathedral Room.
There will be a drawing among entrants and first and second prize winners will receive a glazed tile artwork.
The Hutton Wayfarer Gallery is at 52 Private Dr. 250, off County Road 144, about 5 minutes from the Solida Road roundabout. They can be contacted for directions through their the Facebook page or emailing Robin at rhutton@zoominternet.net.
