Blood donations tend to drop during the winter months and the Kentucky Blood Center will be bringing a Bloodmobile to Ironton on Thursday, Jan. 2 to help increase supplies.

It will be set up at King’s Daughters Family Care Center from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

“We want to bring donors from all of Ironton,” Amy LeVan, donor recruitment specialist for KBC, who provides blood to area hospitals, said.

Donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good health and have a photo ID. Walk-ins are welcome.

The Family Care Center is located at 912 Park Ave.

As a thank you, donors will receive a free KBC hoodie sweatshirt.
