Gwendolyn Lewis

Gwendolyn Lorraine Lewis, 79, of Ironton, passed away Thursday, Aug. 22, 2019, in Harbor Healthcare in Ironton.

She was born Jan. 27, 1940 in Ironton, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Lucille Ford Collins.  She was a retired social worker.

Survivors include a daughter, Victoria Jackson, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a son, Vincent McCreary, of Portland, Oregon; and two sisters, Janice German, of Waldorf, Maryland, and Regina Childs, of Detroit, Michigan. 

There will be a private memorial service at a later date.  Chapman’s Mortuary in Huntington is assisting the family.    

Patrick Daniels

Patrick “David” Daniels, 68, of Jefferson, Wisconsin, formerly of Lawrence County, died on Monday, Aug. 19, 2019 at the Fort Memorial Hospital in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Burial will follow in Crown City Cemetery, Crown City. Visitation will be held 1 – 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville.

Cameron Blake

Cameron Edward Blake, 35, of Huntington, West Virginia, died Thursday Aug. 15, 2019. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Burial will follow in McCormick Cemetery, Proctorville. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Tom Thornton

Tom Thornton, son of the late Ron and Sandy Thornton passed away peacefully on Aug. 9, 2019.

Tom is survived by his son, Keagan Thornton; and three sisters, Sondra “Ginger” Gayhart, Tammy Stevens and Tracy Thornton.

Graveside services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019 at Oakland Chapel Cemetery. Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton, is assisting the family with arrangements.
