Water district looking into bringing service

The Lawrence County Water District met on Wednesday and County Commissioner DeAnna Holliday said one of its focuses is on the effort to bring water to Macedonia Road in the Burlington area.

“No decision was made,” she said of the meeting, but said grant options were discussed.

She said the next step is to come up with an engineering plan on the matter and that they will be talking to residents for input.

She said she expects the water district, which does not have a set meeting schedule, to reconvene in four to six weeks.
