PEDRO — A Symmes Valley High School senior has been named as this year’s recipient of the National Wild Turkey Foundation’s scholarship.
County Commissioner Colton Copley recognized Chad Morris at the Wheelin’ Sportsmen fishing event on Thursday.
“Chad excelled, not only in school, but as a person and volunteer,” Copley said.
Morris, who works with NWTF, is also involved with 4-H and has been a winner at the Lawrence County Fair. He is also involved in the Beta Club at his school and was a recipient of this year’s Wendy’s High School Heisman award.
Morris was one of the top 10 candidates in Ohio and he and his family are invited to a partnership event in Columbus at the end of the month.
