The Ohio Department of Transportation has issued a traffic advisory for road construction and major maintenance projects requiring long-term lane restrictions and/or closures along the state and federal highway system in Lawrence County.
• As part of an ongoing culvert replacement project on State Route 217, the route will be subject to daytime closure at the 17.13-mile marker for the final project. The route will be closed immediately west of Federal Creek Road at Athalia from approximately 8 a.m.-4 p.m. on Tuesday, and while the route is closed, motorists will be detoured via State Route 218, State Route 553 and State Route 7 in Gallia County. In the event of weather-related impacts, the project will be postponed to Wednesday.
• Solida Road has been reopened between the U.S. 52 eastbound interchange ramps and Collins Avenue in South Point following an intersection improvement project that included construction of a roundabout on Solida Road. Crews will have some finishing work to complete, and motorists are reminded to use additional caution in the new traffic movement.
