GARFIELD HEIGHTS — The Fairland Lady Dragons went to the Cleveland Clinic Tournament and came home with some hardware.
The Lady Dragons beat host Garfield Heights Trinity 65-43 on Friday to win the two-day tournament and senior Allie Marshall left with the Most Valuable Player trophy.
Marshall had a game-high 17 points to lead Fairland (6-2). Jenna Stone scored 13 points and Harley Lyons added 11.
Garfield Heights was led by Anna Ibos with 14 and Maciaha Irving with 11.
Marshall and Warnock scored six points each in the first quarter as Fairland jumped in front 19-9.
Marshall racked up nine points in the second quarter while Stone had five points including a 3-pointer and the lead was 40-17.
Ibos has a 3-pointer and six points in the second quarter for the Lady Trojans.
Lyons got six points in the third quarter to offset five points by Irving as the Lady Dragons built a 53-29 cushion.
Stone scored six points including a 3-pointer in the fourth quarter for Fairland. Irving had six points for Trinity.
Fairland visits Gallipolis on Thursday.
