IHS powder puff game
set for Wednesday
The annual Ironton High School benefit Powder Puff football game will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Tanks Memorial Stadium.
The seniors and freshmen will go against the juniors and sophomore in a game sponsored by the IHS student council. Proceeds go to the Christmas food baskets.
Admission price is $3 for adults and $2 for students.
Ironton Hall of Fame
banquet set Oct. 13
The Ironton High School Athletic Hall of Fame will have its induction dinner at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, in the high school cafeteria.
Tickets for the dinner are $10 for individuals and $15 for couples and can be purchased at the door.
This year’s induction class includes consists of Mandi Boykin, Joe “Bubby” Fletcher, Hal Spears, Keith Stowers and James Taylor.
ILL annual membership
meeting September 23
The Ironton National Little League will conduct its annual general membership meeting and board of directors elections at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 23, at the little league complex.
Any member in good standing with the league is eligible for election to the board.
Each year the ILL elects five members to the Board of Directors for a three-year term (unless elected to an unexpired term).
Anyone interested should contact a board member no later than seven days prior to the elections.
CGLL annual elections
scheduled for Sept. 23
The Coal Grove National Little League baseball/softball elections will be at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 23, at Dawson-Bryant High School.
Any board member in good standing is eligible for re-elections.
