Hall’s free kick gives Lady Dragons win

PROCTORVILLE — Tori Hall finished what she started.
Hall to the first and last goals of the game as the Fairland Lady Dragons edged the South Point Lady Pointers 3-2 on Tuesday in an early season showdown for first place in the Ohio Valley Conference soccer race.
South Point took a 2-1 first half lead before Fairland rallied in the second half for the win.
The Lady Dragons went up 1-0 on a goal by Hall with an assist from Erinn Hayden at the 39-minute mark.
South Point tied the game with 23 minutes left in the half as Emily Whitt scored unassisted.
The Lady Pointers then took the lead with 14 minutes on the clock as Nelle Bennje scored an unassisted goal.
Fairland tied the game at the 29-minute mark of the second half on a goal by Olivia White.
The deciding point came eight minutes later when Hall scored off a direct free kick.
