PINE GROVE — As the late, great comedian Jimmy Durante would say, “Everybody’s trying to get into the act.”
It seemed like everyone was taking bows as four different women notched event wins during last week’s Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association outing at the Ironton Country Club.
The week’s hostess Joyce Lewis — who set up the day’s events and announced the winners at lunch — called out the names of Lana Moore, Margaret Donley, Sharon Fox and Wanda Spears as the week’s plethora of winners.
The group conducts a brief business meeting each Tuesday is at 9 a.m. with golfing following at 9:30 or 10.
Next week’s hostess will be Lana Moore.
The Ringer Tournament remains underway for members to post. Also, the handicap tournament will continue throughout the summer.
Anyone interested in joining the Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association is welcome and women do not have to be members of the Ironton County Club to be part of the group.
