Commission proclaims this week for EMS
Pedro resident Bo Delong spoke about a new hunting product that he created in August last year, which is now sold in several local stores and in a few states, at the Lawrence County Commission meeting Tuesday.
Delong’s company, called “Cannon’s Creek Wildlife Attractant, LLC,” sells deer attractant for hunting in two scents of persimmon and green apple.
Delong said his product is a mineral supplement for deer with a multivitamin in it, which not only attracts deer, but helps them get the proper nutrients for healthy bone structure and overall health.
“I’m a firm believer that if you give the body everything it needs, as far as the right nutrients and things, the rest will come,” Delong said. “I’m just trying to get my product out and gain some support.”
Delong added that, although the business has taken off kind of slow, the response to it has been very positive.
In all 26 reviews of the product on the company’s Facebook page, the attractant has maintained a 5-star rating.
The commission also proclaimed this week, May 20-26, as EMS Week in Lawrence County, and in addition, Lawrence County EMS hosted a cook out from 5-8 p.m. at the South Point village park on Tuesday evening in order to celebrate the week.
