St. Joseph seeking
volleyball head coach
St. Joseph High School is currently accepting applications for the position of head volleyball coach.
Interested persons should obtain an application in the high school principal’s office or contact athletic director Greg Bryant at (740) 479-1713.
Rock Hill offering
free athletic physicals
Rock Hill High School and Middle School will be offering free athletic physicals on Thursday, May 24, for students planning to play any sport or to be a cheerleader for the 2018-19 school year.
Physicals will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will be given by King’s Daughers’ Medical Center.
Chesapeake plans 2
youth basketball camps
The Chesapeake Panthers’ basketball program will conduct two youth basketball camps beginning on Wednesday, May 30.
A camp for boys entering grades 3-6 will be from 9-to-11:30 a.m. May 30-June 1 and a camp for boys entering grades 7-9 will be from 9-to-11:30 a.m. June 4-5.
Both camps will be held at the high school and fee is $25 per camper. Drinks will be provided and campers will receive a T-shirt.
The camp will be directed by coach Ryan Davis and assisted by current and former Chesapeake players. Proper techniques and practice habits will be stressed.
Registration may be done in advance but will be available the first day of camp beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Fairland girls’ youth
basketball camp set
The Fairland girls’ youth basketball camp will be held from 9-to-11:30 a.m. June 4-7 at the high school. The camp is open to girls entering grades 1-7. Fee is $35 and includes T-shirt and prizes.

Faith & Fitness offers
summer basketball
The First Baptist Church Faith and Fitness Center is conducting summer youth basketball camps.
From 10-11 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursday during June and July, a camp will be held for boys and girls entering grades 3-5.
Youths entering grades 6-8 will meet from 11 a.m. to noon. with high school and college age players meeting from 1-2 p.m.
Fee is $10 per hour session. First workouts start June 5.
Camps for grades 4-7 will be July 9-12. Interested persons can look on info.on
An AAU tournament for grades 4-5 will be held June 25-26.
Summer open gyms have begun for top high school boys in the area. Players meet one or two nights a week all summer. Currently 10 college players including three 1,000-point college scorers and 10 high school 1,000-point scorers are participating.
