Dragons rout Panthers, 10-3

CHESAPEAKE — Eight was enough, but the Fairland Dragons got a little more just for good measure.
Fairland used an 8-run second inning to beat the Chesapeake Panthers 10-3 in an Ohio Valley Conference game on Thursday.
Garrett Looney went the distance for the win. He allowed six hits, struck out three and walked two. Only two runs were earned.
Looney also went 2-4 with a double and two runs batted in. Eli Bowen, Kyle Rankin and Reilly Sowards all went 2-4 with an RBI as Fairland had 13 hits.
Trent Dearth was 2-3 with an RBI to pace the Panthers.
On Friday, Chesapeake hosts Coal Grove while Fairland entertains Gallipolis in league games
