Huntington Harmonica Club to perform

The Huntington Harmonica Club will perform a concert in the Bowman Auditorium at Ohio University Southern on Saturday, which is sponsored by the Ironton Council for the Arts.

The club, which was founded in 2001, features several harmonicas, guitars and drums and regularly meets from 7-9 p.m. each Tuesday at Gino’s Pub in Huntington. The club also offers numerous HarmoniColleges and workshops throughout the year, as well as both private and group instruction on harps and guitars.

The club performs regularly throughout Huntington and the Tri-State at chili cook-offs, coffee houses, Huntington’s Pullman Square and more, as well as regularly participating in the West Virginia Blues Harmonica Jam, the West Virginia State Harmonica Championship and Quadrathlon, and the Ohio Valley Harmonica Championship.

The concert on Saturday will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 and will be available at the door.

Ohio University students will be admitted free with a valid student ID card.
