St. Joseph Flyers bench players saw more time than the starters in a 67-23 win over Huntington Covenant on Monday.
The only St. Joseph starters in double figures were Zach Roach with 12 points and Joey McDavid with 10 points.
The reserves were led by J.C. Damon with 10 points including a pair of 3-pointers, Jimmy Mahlmeister with seven points, Max Weber with six points, Jackson Rowe had five and Jared Johnson four.
Mahlmeister had six rebounds while Weber and Chase Wilds had five each.
Whaley had five assists with Rowe and Bryson Canter four each. Roach had four steals.
Nate Beilstein had eight points and Braden Roten five for the Eagles.
McDavid hit both his trifectas and scored eight points in the first quarter while Clay Willis, Chase Walters and Roach all scored four points each and Isaac Whaley added a trey to give the Flyers a commanding 24-5 lead.
Damron hit two 3-pointers and scored eight points in the second quarter as five different players scored and St. Joseph took a comfortable 40-8 halftime lead.
Roach played momentarily in the third quarter but it was enough to score five points including a triple. Mahlmeister and Rowe also had treys as the lead went to 55-14.
Roten scored four points for the Eagles.
Weber, Mahlmeister and Johnson scored four points each in the fourth quarter.
Beilstein hit a 3-pointer and scored five points while Steven Lucas had four points for the Eagles.
St. Joseph hosts Northwest on Saturday for senior night.
